I know it feels strange to try to define what these offerings are, Donna (possibly because nothing else like them quite exists?) but to me they feel like Shared/ Spoken Wisdom. As ever, thank you 🧡🌿
Thank you for this video. Testimony to the fact that when you do your work, even with your big grumpy pants on there’s light shining from your very being. 🌟 Much Love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️
aww thanks Sarah. Bless you. Yes I had my big old grumpy drawers on yesterday. Luckily they are baggy from excessive wear and drop to the floor easily these days. Humility street is never far (my legs are short) xxx
“I don’t know what I’ve said” ……..you crack me up, so bloody refreshing real Donna! Love Byron Katies work too, although I get really put out when I do it!!
Thank you Donna! For your realness, your love and especially your humour.
Your piece on commitment was a revelation. I'd say I've been a reliable person in my life, but also resentful of many of the commitments I've made (and stuck to). I'd tie myself up in knots of resentment and guilt, confused about having these feelings towards people I love.
I got sick of that part of myself and slowly came to realise I have agency over what I CHOOSE to commit to. I'm still grappling with my inner people-pleaser but am feeling more able to say 'No thanks' when I need to. And am therefore less resentful of, and more able to stick to, the commitments I do make. Hooray!
Thank you Tabitha and so glad you are healing from the people pleaser patterns. Choice is a wonderful thing and we are so lucky to have it. Choosing lifts us from victimhood I find. fabulous xx
Oh I love this podcast/video/clip/webcast, vlog, whatever it is ha ha. Today I needed both a reminder (yet again, I’m a slow learner as you know) that we are not our thoughts plus I needed a good laugh, and I got two for the price of one today, thank you as always and a big massive hug. Sxx
Believing your thoughts is so 1980s 😂😂 I absolutely love that! it really made me chuckle and will genuinely stick with me. I’m absolutely terrible at believing my thoughts but now I know it’s so last season I plan to give it up 😃 I really love these videos and this one in particular resonated massively with where I’m at. I also really connected with what you said about commitment and discipline and being somebody I can trust. I feel that’s really important for me. Thank you so much and keep them coming. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Donna, for your wisdom and willingness to share it, and also for your authenticity in doing so 🙏🏼 - I love the unscripted, unedited, no fancy lighting approach.
My caring responsibilities have helped me to view my pretty innate ability to be committed and disciplined through a different lens and it was lovely that you referred to ‘devotion’ as that describes it up so well for me. The key area that I have really started to understand as being essential to it all - for me - is gratitude. It is sometimes a huge challenge and definitely a work in progress!
Thanks Emma. So much of life I find is not so much about what we go through but how we perceive the experiences. Perspective. Gratitude was a game changer for me too. The real deep heartfelt kind. I began to see my very life and all the 'chores' it might contain as a series of gifts. Just to be here and be needed as a carer for example. Just to live. Incredible..to be alive. And of course it will all be over soon so best we enjoy what we can and accept the rest! xx
Oh Donna I love you! This is such a helpful video for me. I think it will be one I listen to over and over🙏🏻💗. So much juice and it gives me a good much needed slap as I know I slip into low vibrational thoughts especially when I'm tired ... thank you ... Oh your humour too "Bore off Donna" or should I say "Oh bore off Kate!🤣". "So 1980's" - love it and love Byron Katie to - like you she is a wonderful gift to us all x
ha ha I Love you too Kate and glad you found the video helpful. Humour is never far...much of life is hilarious I find. Especially us and our 'ego dramas'. Like a juicy soap opera where we get to play most of the parts. We deserve oscars the lot of us. We are bloody hilarious xx
Thank you for the reminder about honouring my commitments to myself. I really need to work on that. "I'm someone I can trust"... that is so, so important! Huge gratitude for your wisdom, and for sharing it even when you couldn't be arsed. 💚💚💚
I love the devotion part of this. Thank you for showing up, it inspired me as your words spoke to me of the way I explain to others what healing is and then "conveniently" forget to practice it for myself.
The practice is important.
Take aways: Devotion, showing up for oneself makes all the difference and timely reminder to watch the frequency of one's words.
What a fantastic pair of videos, thank you. The informal style is so comforting, it’s like voice notes me and my very close and wise friend send to each other. Messages that you are excited to listen to, laugh as you are listening and come away with something to think about. Healing and joy mixed together, not a common combination but it should be. What a wonderful gift to give to the world, thank you.
Thank you once again Donna. I can’t even begin to express how much your work is supporting me right now, and just how ready I am to go even deeper with it. Thank you thank you thank you 🙏🙏🙏
And the feeling of doing something you couldn’t be arsed to do and yet did…it is far more empowering and satisfying than if you didn’t, I find.
Thank you for the wisdom and reminders.
I think the more awareness I have around unconditional self love, the more I can see positivity in everything and everyone.
It’s highlights the negatives too!! Yet I can choose to ignore or engage these days….
You’re so right though… you have to put the work in, unpicking and unpacking takes time.
I feel like a perpetual Russian doll 🪆 and that’s ok.
Thank you again Donna. 🌻💛🔆
yes aren't we lucky to have so many layers? Beautiful Russian dolls all of us xx
Very lucky 😍 xx
