Thank you so much Donna. Just the right word medicine and truths I needed to hear! I spent much of my life living like this. It really upsets me when it happens these days because I feel like I should know better and do better. Then I turn towards little Lina, teenage Lina and adult Lina and show her the love and care that she deserved then (and didn’t get) and deserves now. I can provide that care and I’m grateful to have a beautiful network of support that holds me in times like this, and speaks truth- very helpful coz that familiar critical voice/ victim/ constant gas lighting as a child can really twist the perception of things. Thanks for the podcast that isn’t a podcast 🩵🧜🏼‍♀️

Wonderful. It’s great to have such a deep but concise description of transference. Dribbling and shiny forehead aside ... 😂. Your honesty in delivery is priceless. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for this. Very interesting about how we see our parents as their younger selves. I know that feeling so well of going back to being a teenager and reacting to my parents. And knowing I was doing it, berating myself and not knowing why I did it. It definitely still happens sometimes but I am practicing seeing my dad (and remembering my mum) as the people they are/were. So helpful and clear thank you.

The dribbling when you talked about David Rico was also absolutely brilliant 👌🏼😆🥰

Yes that bit of transference is such a missing piece for so many and also how we can transfer our parents over our kids! Such riches. and yes the DR dribble was perfectly timed. lol xx

I really appreciate that point of your children having a transference reaction to the old you. Helps with compassion for them. Love your dribble after mentioning our David. Xx

There is so much in this podcast that isn’t a podcast for me to work with as I continue to better understand my own behavioural patterns. Such a juicy one! No wonder you were dribbling 😉 David Rico or not. I will definitely be listening to this on repeat, and I’m also wondering 🤔 if that could be a part of what happened in my mum’s behaviour as she moved further into her dementia - ie she transferred her own pain of her unhealed past into her present day behaviours…… Once again, thank you Donna for your insight and wisdom and helping me question and do the work so I can find peace 🙏🏾 ❤️
